Iudex Gundyr (#1)

Boss: Iudex Gundyr (#1)
My level: 7
Number of tries: 1
Difficulty: 1,5/5
Ah, the first boss. I could not expect him to appear so soon. Remember The Last Giant? You had to finish fairly big amount of content before the encounter. Anyway, this was quite cool. From his name to his appearance. Just listen how it sounds: "Iudex". How unusual! This word means "Judge" on Latin or old German. This is so Dark Souls style! Not just "Judge", but this archaic word, that fills you both with dread and awe.
First try, but I cant say it was simple. Compared to The Last Giant, probably, I can say about the same difficulty. Especially when he transforms things become much harder, I barely made it from the first try. Luckly he had low HP - it is the first boss after all.

Added later: So far, the mechanics of DS2 seems about the same, and I really like it. Hardly, they could invent something better. Better to leave as it is, since any change could easily ruin the game. The only difference I've found so far is the Estus Flask given to you in the very beginning :)

Added even more later ( ^^ ): All NPC's are already in the first hub? Merchant and blacksmith? I hope this change wont simplify the game much - I certainly disapprove it in DS.

Added so late, so I even forgot when: ...ahh, somehow I miss Majula ...

Dark Souls III

This is the first expensive game after a failure called "Fallout 4" I'm going to buy :) But now I'm a wise man - I will return the game if it appears to be bad. Hopefully not. I've enjoyed DS2 so much, and I hope DS3 will keep the plank - after all, the best thing they can do - to leave things as it is, just to add new content, because DS2 was quite flawless. See you in the land of ... dunno, Drangleic, Lordran? :) Or a new land? Only time will tell!

Minecraft, part 3

Third time I started to play on Excalibur-craft server, in last year. I didn't play much due to raids in WoW, but as I left the game in February, I had more free time. Also, I wanted to finish the idea I had on Squareland - to build my own shop. It is hard task, requiring to be on the edge of technological progress. But it was possible in 2011 or 2013 when I was able to donate and the game was new. Now almost every kid playing here knows everything about the game, almost every kid-schoolboy able to play more than me, and donate prices grew by several times, so it is harder to donate now.
Anyway, I decided to build my ultimate creation - big plant providing with everything I need for the shop. If you've red until this point it seems that Minecraft theme is common to you, so I'm going to use special terms.
My idea was to make big cube-like cellar (like 100x100x100) providing enough space for 8 multifarms and two big structures in the center - matter factory below and a shop above. Shop with glass walls so people may observe my creation.
I even show the original scheme :)
Eight multifarms, and rooms for machinery and stuff on the sides.

I started from small house - just as cover for my underground facility :)

Several steps of my digging and building:

I decided to make 4 "floors" with center and side stairs

 First multifarms base

Fully dug cellar

My first machine room - I called it "Ore Refinery" :)

Several more devices: scap creating factory, biomass production, laser crafting table and nuclear chamber:

And finally - how my facility looked like in quite completed stage:
You can see multifarms and matter generaton room in the center.

Well, I'm still playing, I've even entered to the clan called "LIMBO" with cute clan leader - Kiskakendi :) Next time, I will, hopefully, will be able to show my new shop :)

Minecraft, part 2

Second time it was in 2014 on Squareland server. By the way, I started previous post as "will not say about Minecraft", but seems I've started anyways :) Well, enjoy the story then, or skip it to next post, if you don't like :) So, second time I decided to build another underground facility - this time underwater.
First I found an island - just small island of sand, expanded it, planted trees, and build underground fortress with big panorama window to look at the ocean :)
This is my island. Unfortunately I didnt save a screenshot of how this island looked like. The well in the center (hidden below trees) was the secret entrance to my lair :)

 From inside

 Lowers floor (cellar with machinery)

Once again, this time I left because I was out of ideas, and my m8's left too.
Problem of Minecraft, and other free games of such kind is very low age of players. In Minecraft it was 12-16. I am 26 years old, and it is hard to communicate with angry kids there. Yes, angry, unfortunately, at least here, in Russia, I'm scared of intellectual level of our youth. Maybe clever children don't play games, only stupid do, idk, but it seems so. I'm not such kind of grammar nazi, but amount of grammatical mistakes combined with swearing really make my eyes bleed.

Minecraft, part 1

It was quite a while since I posted here last time. The reason is - I was playing Minecraft :) I even made some screenshots and thought about posting my story here, but didn't do it. Probably because I'm just lazy :) But mostly because Minecraft - is such kind of a game that can be interesting to very specific people. 99% of players will say "how in the world you can play this 16-bit thing?" The truth is Minecraft is the "most sandbox" game ever created - here you can build almost anything. With mods I play - "IndustrialCraft", "Buildcraft" "Applied Energistics" you can build anything from single solar battery to giant nuclear plant. Possibilities are almost endless. On the other hand, though, the game has, obviously, no logic end. You can play it forever and it will never exhaust. Honestly, I don't like it, I don't like games without plot, Minecraft is one of the few exceptions. I started to play this modifications several times - this was 3rd, and probably the last one. I was so excited when I played it for the first time - it was in 2011 or 2013 ... well, quite a long ago. My idea was to build a mansion on the ground and big cellar with electric devices below surface :)
Only a few screenshots left from these times:
The base of my building - center of the mansion with two "Г" - wings

Almost finished stage - the idea was to make glass walls filled with water from one side and lava from other side to add lighting.

From inside - in the center was the pool with glass bottom, so you can see lower floor.
From this time I've only build underground facilities - harder to grief (when other people break your buildings) and I liked to hide :)
I left because people I played with left too. The next part - in the next post :)
